Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is at the forefront of innovative treatments for mental health conditions, particularly for individuals who have not found relief through traditional methods. On August 23rd, Polaris Insight Center will host an in-depth KAP training designed to equip clinicians with the knowledge and skills to effectively integrate this groundbreaking therapy into their practice. This training not only covers the essentials of KAP but also aligns with Isha Health’s commitment to offering cutting-edge mental health solutions that are tailored to the unique needs of each patient. By participating in this training, clinicians will deepen their understanding of how KAP can be a powerful tool in addressing treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other psychological conditions, enhancing the comprehensive care provided at Isha Health.

Course Overview:

The upcoming KAP training by Polaris Insight Center on August 23rd is a day-long(9am-5pm PT) comprehensive introduction to the practice of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. This course is designed to empower healthcare professionals with the knowledge to incorporate KAP into their treatment repertoire effectively. KAP integrates pharmacological, psychological, and transpersonal elements, offering a hybrid model of psychotherapy that shows promise in treating a range of psychological conditions, including treatment-resistant depression (TRD), anxiety, PTSD, and existential distress.

Module Price: $375

Key Benefits of Attending the Training:

  • In-depth Understanding: Participants will gain a thorough understanding of various dosing strategies and the different routes of administration, enabling them to tailor KAP treatments to individual patient needs.
  • Comparative Insights: The training will clarify the differences between infusion treatment and KAP, highlighting the pros and cons of each modality, thus helping clinicians make informed decisions about treatment strategies.
  • Practical Application: Clinicians will learn how to manage common side effects of ketamine, ensuring safe and effective patient care during KAP sessions.
  • Comprehensive KAP Protocol: The training will detail the three main elements of the KAP protocol—preparation, experiential, and integration—emphasizing their significance in the overall treatment process.
  • Advanced Treatment Techniques: The course will explore the psycholytic (trance, self-reflective) and NOSC (transformational/transpersonal) levels of experience, offering a nuanced approach to KAP interventions.
  • Intake Process Guidance: Participants will learn the importance of the intake process and how to assess patients for KAP, ensuring that this treatment is suited to their specific needs.
