We live in a world with constant input, thinking, pressure and expectations. We try our best, and yet we still struggle with a lack of fulfillment, loneliness, overthinking about the "right" path, or feeling stuck or lost. Ketamine-Assisted Therapy (KAP) is not a magic wand by any means, but it does provide a space to slow down, to unlock new perspectives and reconnect to the self in more meaningful ways. Adding therapy to Ketamine treatment is a unique opportunity to explore the inner world in a regulated and safe way. Treatment includes preparation, dosing, and integration sessions. Preparation sessions occur at the onset of treatment, typically 3-5 sessions for new clients, and include thoroughly reviewing the informed consent, education on Ketamine and KAP, openly addressing any concerns you may have, aligning on the KAP process and setting intentions for our work together. Preparation sessions are scheduled as regular therapy sessions. Dosing sessions are between 2-3 hours. This is where you'll self-administer your ketamine lozenge using the swish and spit method, the effects of this lasting approximately 45 min- 60min. During the dosing session you'll be at home in a comfortable, reclined position wearing an eye mask and listening to calming music. Although a KAP dosing session is largely an internal experience, as your therapist, I am remotely present to facilitate and maintain a soothing setting to best optimize your results. One to five days after your KAP dosing session, we'll meet for 1-2 integration therapy sessions to reflect and process your experience, identify and build on your insights, maximize the benefits, integrate your intentions and explore sustainable change. The amount and frequency of dosing and integrations sessions will be decided together and can be changed at any time throughout the treatment. In addition, in choosing to work with me, I have created a work book for you to use as you like along the way to help guide your treatment, inspire new experiences and reflect on insights along the way.
