Marriage And Family Therapist
she/her/hers
Fairfax, CA
I serve individuals, couples and groups. I specialize in relationships, communication coaching, empowerment, and developmental trauma. When working 1-on-1, my somatic orientation combines IFS/parts work, EMDR, sensorimotor therapy, creativity, and psycho-education. When working with couples, I lean on Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and a Developmental Model. In supporting individuals, couples and groups, I celebrate the use of ketamine assisted psychotherapy to promote creative ways to rewire the brain and body, promoting transformation. My holistic approach to KAP includes preparation before, presence during, and integration after the ketamine experience so that you are supported throughout and empowered to derive the maximum benefit. I look forward to hearing from you.
Prior to launching Attune Within, I studied at the Center for Somatic Psychotherapy as a private practice trainee, served dual-diagnosed homeless in San Francisco residential treatment, and provided in-community therapy to foster youth & families in Alameda County. My earlier life included journalism, pop culture blogging, teaching meditation/yoga, legal advocacy, cross-cultural living, and two decades of personal growth practices. I learn from my clients everyday and am always expanding my practice to meet new demands and respond to the needs of those I serve.

My approach to therapy is rooted in Somatic Psychology, inspired by the Latin words “Soma,” meaning “body” and “psyche,” as in “mind.” I combine body-based explorations with verbal processing while working with individuals, couples, families and groups. Early life wounding can be subtle, yet significantly impact the formation of one’s adult personality and relationships. “As you have been wounded in relationship, you can heal in relationship” - whether this healing occurs with your therapist, your loved ones, or your larger community. I believe that within your deepest wounds, triggers, or unhelpful habits lies your greatest wisdom, self-compassion & aliveness. The foundation of my helping orientation is relational, client-centered, embodied awareness that considers the various “shaping sites” to one’s identity. This intersectional framework contextualizes a person’s values, behaviors, and symptoms within environmental & ancestral influences. If people function as internally and externally relational systems, then each “part” within any “system” affects the whole. When bodies or relationships feel out of balance, it is important to identify and address factors leading to dysregulation, dis-equilibirum, or dis-ease. In my practice, a strong emphasis is placed on Self-awareness, adaptive communication, and neuroplasticity. Clients who find the most success with me are typically motivated to do deep inner work and maintain it through a curious, willing mindset.
